My guy named our kitchen “Wendy’s by the Woods” shortly after we moved into our new home. It is his private restaurant, as he does not cook(well he makes the best popcorn I have ever had & he makes a mean chocolate chip cookie), he thought it should have a name…He is kinda “cute” like that 🙂
I created this “pinterest inspired” pallet sign for the wall in our dining room & LOVE how it turned out.
Directions below if you want to give your own creativity a shot!
Good Luck and I would love to see how yours turns out!!
You will need:
1 pallet board
Print out or stencils for lettering(I printed letters off of my computer)
Chalk & a pen or pencil
Paint & small paint brush
Drill & drill bit
3 small nails or screws
3 small plastic jars (I dug through the recycle bin and found some little orange juice containers from the kids.)
3 silk flowers
Twine
Directions:
Figure out how your letters best fit on our pallet. Take your letter printouts and color the back of them with chalk(I did one letter at a time). Then put the letter, chalk side down onto your pallet take your pen and outline your letter. Pull your letter off and you should see the chalk outline on your pallet board. Do this for each letter. Now take your paint (I just used regular latex paint for wood, plastic, ceramic, etc) and paint the letters. Allow the paint to dry. Drill two holes in the top corners of our pallet board and push the twine through the holes for your sign to hang from. Pound the 3 nails evenly across the bottom of your board. Cut 3 pieces of twine all the same length, tie them around your plastic jars and tie a loop at the top end. Hang your jar from the nail(I had to play with mine to get it to hang correctly.) Then sit back and enjoy your work!
Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs ~ Wendy
