This recipe is one of my favorite clean meals….
Clean Pizza
1 lb Ground Turkey
1 TBSP + 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
1/2 TBSP Basil
1/2 TBSP Oregano
1 tsp Garlic Powder
2 Eggs Whites
1/2 Cup Oats
1 Cup Tomato/Spaghetti Sauce (Organic or Homemade)
1 Cup Low-Fat Cottage Cheese
***Your choice of clean toppings….(I usually use whatever is left over in my fridge) but some suggestions: Spinach, red, yellow, orange or green pepper(or all three), onion, cucumber, mushrooms…etc…
Directions:
- Preheat over to 350 degrees
- Mix the “crust”(ground turkey, Italian seasoning, basil, garlic, egg whites & oats) by hand
- Flatten the “crust” on a pizza stone or 9×13 pan
- Bake “crust” at 350 for 20 minutes
- While the “crust” is baking mix the tomato sauce/spaghetti sauce & cottage cheese together
- Take “crust” out of the oven
- Spread the sauce mixture evenly on the “crust”
- Add your toppings
- Place pizza back in the oven for approximately 10 minutes
- Remove and Enjoy
